Kings Road Tyres to launch PCR range at Brityrex International 2014

Tyre wholesaler Kings Road Tyres (KRT), best known for its wholesale business in the truck and OTR tyre segments, has announced that it will launch an exclusive passenger car tyre range at October’s Brityrex International exhibition. The announcement comes concurrently with the news that a “strategic investment group” from three continents has purchased a controlling share in Kings Road Tyres Group is to provide investment for the development of the business. Aside from distributing a wide range of Cooper 4×4 products, KRT currently services the segment with Michelin affiliated Serbian manufacturer Tigar’s range, making this a significant move in broadening its PCR business.

Alongside the new PCR launch the company’s presence at Brityrex will provide a high profile opportunity to showcase its extensive ranges of other lines. These will include its exclusive distributorships of the Matador truck, Aeolus and Antyre truck and OTR and Taurus agricultural ranges, as well as its recently agreed distributorship of Maxam industrial and OTR products.

KRT is a long-standing supporter of the UK’s only dedicated tyre and equipment show, as Tim Bader, the company’s Purchasing and Marketing Manager, explains: “We are strong believers in the importance of the UK industry having its own successful and truly representative show. Every two years Brityrex acts as the focal point for our industry, a dedicated show where people do business, and that’s something we think is really important.

“We will be using the exhibition to launch a new and exclusive range of passenger car tyres for the UK market, which is an important strategic development for us. Although we are best known as a major player in the commercial and agricultural markets, we have always supplied PCR tyres, so this new range marks a significant re-launch of our product offer in that sector.”

Welcoming KRT to the exhibition, Paul Farrant of Brityrex organiser Singex-ECI International, says: “KRT have been outstanding supporters of Brityrex and we’re delighted to welcome them back for 2014. We will be working closely with Tim and his colleagues to offer our support in maximising the impact of their exciting plans for the show.”
