Lidl dips toe in tyre retail water

Visit Lidl for your groceries? What about for tyres? You could – if you live in Germany. The discount supermarket has introduced winter tyres to its online shop, and motorists can choose between a range that includes products from Goodyear, Hankook and Fulda. The Hankook i*cept RS is available in three sizes, 165/70 R14, 175/65 R14 and 195/65 R15, Goodyear’s Ultra Grip 8 can be ordered in size 205/55 R16 91 T or as a size 205/55 R16 91 H fitment mounted on a Rial 7×16 rim. The Fulda offer centres on the Kristall Montero 3 in size 195/65 R15 91T, sold fitted to a 6×15 Rial rim. No plans for UK tyre sales have been announced.
