New Goodyear Dunlop Consumer Director Relaunches HiQ Kettering

Goodyear Dunlop’s new consumer director, Juergen Titz, has made his first public appearance in the role, launching the recently revamped Kettering branch of HiQ alongside UK and Ireland managing director George Rietbergen. Titz suggested that he would open his tenure as consumer director with new strategies to improve the success of the company’s brand range, notably utilising its connection to HiQ. Following his spell as retail director for the fast fit network, a period described by the franchise as extremely successful, Titz was present at the launch to support HiQ’s biggest franchisee Chris Kisby, MD of Easy Tyre & Autocentres.

The centre, in Telford Way Industrial Estate, staged three “open days” for motorists, raising £1,000 for Breast Cancer Care in the process. Titz said: “The new role is a new challenge for me, but one that I am relishing. There are many opportunities to build capability around our range of brands, which is something that I will be concentrating upon. The HiQ network and our overall retail network strategy will continue to play an extremely important role in this, so it is fitting that I find myself back at HiQ again, where so much has been achieved.”

Titz has been part of the European organisation since 1998 and joined the UK and Ireland business in January 2009 to lead the successful growth of HiQ’s franchise programme. Before moving to the UK he led the successful Goodyear Dunlop 4Fleet Group GmbH fleet business division in Germany and had also been responsible for developing Goodyear Dunlop Europe’s consumer fleet and retail strategies. In his new role, Titz will lead the company’s car, light van and motorcycle business.
